This work was born from lived experience.
I lost my mother when I was seven years old. She was thirty-three vibrant, strong, and full of life. She died giving birth to her fourth child, and in a single moment, childhood ended and responsibility began.
At an age when I should have been protected, I became a caregiver. I helped raise my siblings. I learned to listen deeply. I learned what grief looks like when it has nowhere to go.
That loss shaped me not with bitterness, but with compassion. It taught me that people carry far more than they show, and that when healing is ignored, its impact echoes across generations.
