Where Art Becomes Healing
One of the most defining chapters of my life is my journey as a caregiver to my daughter, Christine — an autistic artist.
Christine did not paint before COVID. In the stillness of that season, art became her language, her therapy, her voice.
Â
Today, she represents the autism community locally and internationally.
This journey birthed Yato Art in Autism Gallery — a space where art restores dignity, creates visibility, and supports autism advocacy, especially in African and underserved communities.
Here, art is not decoration.
It is expression.
It is healing.
